Giulietta & amp; The Romeo halfmarathon has reached its sixth edition this year and will take place on 17 February 2013 in the historic city center of Verona. As always, the course develops at ground level in important cultural and architectural locations downtown.

On the website dedicated to the event, giuliettaeromeohalfmarathon.it, the countdown for February 17 has started. Every year many athletes wait anxiously for the marathon. In 2012, more than 4,000 contestants took part in the marathon, 250 of which were foreigners who came either from Italy or around the world.
Giulietta & amp; The Romeo halfmarathon is the first event of the year hosted by the Halfmarathon Tour. During the year the halfmarathon Tour plans five different half marathons: first Rome & Giulietta, then Piacenza, Monza, Cremona, and lastly the Guard Trentino halfmarathon. The aim of the Halfmarathon Tour is to gather all Italian sports associations on various appointments. Associations that take part in this marathon with their runners accumulate a lot of points based on the number of arrivals at the finish line and at the end of the year, sports associations that have earned more points during the five half marathons, will receive a prize of 1,500 €.
Online, there is also a map of the marathon course covering the crossings of Porta Vescovo, Sottoriva, near the cathedral, Borgo Trento, Porta San Zeno, Stadio, Porta Palio, Basilica of San Zeno, Ponte Scaligero, Porta Borsari, Duomo, Piazza dei Signori, Piazza delle Erbe and the final step is through the arena and the finish line is located at Bra Piazza. The marathon is 21 km long and the start is scheduled for 10:00 at the Verona sports center, the finish line being in piazza Brà three hours after the start. The prize giving ceremony will be held on Sunday 17 February 2013 at 12.30; only the first ten athletes to reach the finish line will be awarded.

Giulietta & amp; The Romeo halfmarathon is a kind of meeting place and above all a sporting event. Only eighteen year old athletes can take part in the marathon. In addition, Duo Halfmartahon is also scheduled for Giulietta & amp; Romeo halfmarathon: this is a relay in which two runners run together, the first one runs for 16 km and the other for 6 km. Both athletes must be male and female, this marathon is neither competitive nor timed.
In the Verona sports hall, there will be an Expo with many exhibitors, a booth and a free parking space of 1,000 m2. In addition, if you arrive from far away there is the possibility of staying in a hotel in Verona; on the website there is a list of hotels that have an agreement with this event.
